Retired Senior Volunteer Program

Central Kentucky Community Action Council is proud to be the regional affiliate for one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation, the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. Best known as RSVP, our volunteers continue to be a lifeline to many non-profit organizations, public agencies and faith-based group, all of which rely on their support to meet the rising demand for services.

Open to all dependable adults age of 55 and older living in or near Hardin or Nelson County, RSVP volunteers choose how, where and how often they want to serve. Commitment hours can range anywhere from a few hours per month to almost full time, though the average commitment is four hours per week. Service opportunities are as diverse as the communities in which we serve.

Service Opportunities

Volunteers receive pre-service orientation training from the organization they will serve, while also receiving supplement insurance while on duty. RSVP volunteers do not receive monetary incentives, but sponsoring organizations may reimburse for some costs incurred during service.
