Meade County Meal Voucher Program

The Lincoln Trial Area Development District Agency and Board of Directors approved pursuing Kentucky's first Senior Center Without Walls and Restaurant Voucher pilot.

The traditional senior center concept will be replaced by an open, community-oriented coordinated delivery of services. Seniors will be kept informed about the changes and how to access services by staff of the Lincoln Trail Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living.

Eligible seniors will be issued restaurant vouchers which will assist in providing a low sodium, low cholesterol, diabetic and heart healthy diet.

Monthly gatherings will provide nutrition education, health promotion and resource information.

The monthly meetings are held at the Meade County Library the last Thursday of every month from 10 am - 2 pm. For more information contact Tancy or Lisa at 270-756-5668.

This project is funded, in part, under a contract with the Lincoln Trail Area Development District, with funds from the Administration on Aging, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
